Hanging Charms for Lotsa Love Pillows

To make the hanging charm from individual beads and the rhinestone buttons, you will need the following:
Jump rings, metal pins with a flat end at one end, metal charm shapes (hearts shown here), chain, assorted beads, rounded nose jewelry pliers, small flat nose pliers, buttons, rhinestones and a good fabric glue  (E6000)

For the first step, use a long metal pin.  Slip a small metal bead on the bottom first, so that other beads with bigger holes won't fall through. Stack desired beads on pin, leaving enough room at the top to make a loop with rounded nose pliers (shown at the right)

After stacking beads, bend the top 1" or so of the pin as shown.
Now take your round nose plier and bend the rest of the pin as shown below to make a loop at the top.  Wrap or trim the left over part of the pin.

Attach a jump ring into the top loop and close the jump ring.  For the next part of the charm, cut some chain to desired length and add a jump ring to one end.  Also take a charm and add to the jump ring and close the jump ring.  When your charm has been assembled, you can either run a ribbon through it and tie a knot or bow, or you can also add a lobster claw and attach the charm to ribbons that way.

To make the buttons with rhinestones, just add a bit of glue to the bottom of a rhinestone, pick it up with tweezers and place it on top of the button hole.  Glue the button to the fabric and let dry for 24 hours before assembling the entire pillow.
